Between September 2011 and March 2013 The National Archives, in partnership with the Business Archives Council, conducted a survey of the surviving records of the architectural, building and construction sectors. These sectors had been identified as being poorly documented in terms of their archives and survey work was carried out by the Resource Discovery Officer, Annabel Welsh. The results of the survey were fed, where practicable, into the National Register of Archives. A steering committee of experts and representatives of interested bodies met during the period to consider broader issues and to provide advice and expertise.
