The Business Archives Council is one of a number of relevant bodies supporting the appeal to save the Wedgwood collection, which includes the company's archives. This follows a ruling by the High Court that the Wedgwood Museums collection can be sold off to help plug the company's pension deficit.

Sir Geoffrey Owen wins 2010 BAC Wadsworth Prize for business history.
The Council awarded its BAC Wadsworth Prize for Business History 2010 on 10 November 2011 at a reception at Unilever House, London to Sir Geoffrey Owen for his study of Courtaulds entitled The Rise and Fall of Great Companies: Courtaulds and the Reshaping of the Man-Made Fibres Industry.

The judging panel on behalf of the Council has awarded the grant to Norfolk Record Office for cataloguing of the archives of Gaymers, The Gaymer Group Ltd of Attleborough, Norfolk, cider and related beverage manufacturers.
